Stereotactic radiotherapy (SBRT) is a special radiation therapy technique that precisely delivers high doses of radiation therapy onto tumor lesions in the extracranial body, thereby exposing the tumor to high doses and surrounding normal tissues to low doses. At present, SBRT is being more widely applied in radical radiotherapy for stage I lung cancer, as well as radiotherapy for renal cell carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, and prostate cancer. SBRT has also shown significant advantages in the treatment of metastatic lung cancer and liver cancer.
